The Life Sciences Industry Conference 2026 will bring together 19 speakers to examine how artificial intelligence can support manufacturing, digital transformation and operational excellence across regulated life sciences environments.

Taking place on 22 October at the Crowne Plaza in Santry, Dublin, the conference will focus on moving AI from experimentation into practical, scalable applications.

William Fahey, Data Science Lead at Pfizer, will deliver the keynote, drawing on his work scaling AI, machine learning and generative AI across global biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Brendan McGrath, former Site Head and Vice President of Manufacturing at WuXi Biologics Ireland, will chair the conference.

Manufacturing and operational leadership will feature prominently. James Murphy, Chief Operating Officer at Eirgen Pharma, Tom Quinn, Vice President and Site Head at Novo Nordisk Production Ireland, and Michael Brennan, Head of Global Engineering at Teleflex, bring experience spanning manufacturing, engineering, site management and operational performance. Dinny Crowe, Vice President of Ireland Operations at ABM, and Domhnall Carroll, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Manufacturing Ireland, add perspectives on facilities management and advanced manufacturing transformation.

Digital adoption and enterprise technology will be addressed by Colm Bambury, Director of Digital Technology at Amgen, Trevor Marshall, Head of Consulting for Life Science Manufacturing at Cognizant, Fergal Wall, Director of Technology, Digital and Data at NIBRT, and Cormac Byrne, Head of Digital at APC/VLE. Their work spans digital manufacturing, data, AI implementation and the organisational requirements for technology adoption.

The programme also features regulatory, quality and research expertise. Meg Leahey of Sanofi brings experience in biologics regulatory strategy, while Alice Redmond of CAI specialises in risk and quality. Ger McCabe of Biostor Ireland focuses on trust and governance in AI. Dr Hisham Al-Obaidi of the University of Reading connects pharmaceutical sciences with digital health and AI, while Professor Damien Thompson of the University of Limerick brings expertise in computational modelling.

The line-up also includes Sinead Keogh of BioPharmaChem Ireland and Ibec, Matt Moran of Matt Moran Consulting, and Dr Araz Raoof of the ARC Hub for Therapeutics, contributing perspectives across industry strategy, pharmaceutical leadership and drug discovery.

Four themed sessions will address responsible AI, scaling projects into production, workforce readiness and the AI-ready enterprise. Visit the official conference website to book a place for 22 October 2026.
