Google Cloud partner Beyond has opened a new delivery centre in Manila, recruiting more than 200 engineers to support global cloud and AI project delivery as businesses accelerate the transition from AI trials to wider operational deployment. The expansion, reported by IT Brief Asia, follows recent centre openings in Argentina and Romania and forms part of a broader strategy to extend Beyond's international delivery footprint across key technology talent markets.
Industry forecasts cited by Beyond project worldwide spending on AI infrastructure, software and services to rise by more than 30% year on year through to 2029, driving sustained demand for engineering teams capable of implementing and managing cloud and AI systems at enterprise scale.
Geoff Newell, Delivery Centre Director for APAC at Beyond, said: "The Philippines offers a combination of world-class talent and a thriving technology ecosystem. By expanding our presence in APAC, we are strengthening our ability to support customers globally with high-quality, always-on delivery."
Alan Paton, CEO at Beyond, said: "As demand for transformation accelerates globally, we are investing in the talent, capability and delivery excellence needed to support our customers at scale."
The Philippines was selected for its domestic pool of 3.7 million degree holders in science and technology, alongside forecasts that the country's tech industry will grow by more than 10% annually and reach USD $50.53 billion (approximately €42.4 billion) by 2031. The country is increasingly sought after by technology and outsourcing groups seeking engineering talent in the Asia-Pacific region.
Beyond works exclusively with Google Cloud and counts Jaguar Land Rover, PayPal, NatWest and Snap among its clients, alongside public sector institutions. The company says it has more than 500 Google Cloud specialist engineers across Europe and North America, with the Manila centre extending that capacity to a third major delivery location.
The new centre is intended to support enterprise customers operating in regulated and complex environments who require large-scale cloud migration, application modernisation, security and AI implementation at pace. The Manila operation strengthens Beyond's ability to provide always-on delivery across global time zones as client demand for specialist cloud engineering continues to grow.
