Digital asset exchange CoinJar Europe is investing €5m over the next 24 months to establish a new European hub in Dublin, creating 30 highly skilled roles and serving as the company’s operational base for EU operations.
The Dublin team will work alongside CoinJar’s existing offices in London and Melbourne to deliver secure, compliant, and user-friendly digital asset services to individuals and institutions across Europe. The investment is supported by IDA Ireland, reflecting the country’s increasing reputation as a hub for innovative fintech and regulated digital finance services.
Founded in 2013, CoinJar is one of the longest-running cryptocurrency exchanges and digital asset platforms globally, serving over 800,000 users. It received Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration from the Central Bank in November 2024 and Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) registration in December 2025.
Niall Carson, CEO of CoinJar Europe, highlighted Ireland’s strategic advantages: “Establishing Dublin as our European hub positions us to serve customers across the EU while building on CoinJar's decade-plus track record of reliable, compliant digital asset services.”
Minister of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke said the expansion demonstrates confidence in Ireland’s talent base and the strong support provided by IDA Ireland. Minister of State Robert Troy added, “Ireland offers firms like CoinJar a strong regulatory landscape, which gives the wider digital assets sector the confidence to innovate and grow.”
Denis Curran, head of emerging business at IDA Ireland, described the move as a “welcome endorsement of Ireland's growing Digital Finance sector and as a leading location in Europe for regulated financial services.”
With this €5m hub, CoinJar aims to strengthen its European presence, drive innovation in digital assets, and enhance operational efficiency while reinforcing Ireland’s position as a centre for digital transformation and fintech leadership.
