Partners Group has disclosed that an AI transformation programme delivered by Version 1, a Dublin-headquartered digital services portfolio company, at Foundation Risk Partners, a US insurance brokerage also owned by Partners Group, generated a 120 basis point EBITDA margin uplift representing $10 million of financial impact; this is a performance disclosure, not a new transaction, and no deal consideration arises.
Partners Group is a Swiss-headquartered global private markets firm (SIX: PGHN) with approximately $186 billion in assets under management and around 2,000 professionals globally. Foundation Risk Partners is a US insurance brokerage founded in 2017, employing over 3,000 people across 68 locations.
Version 1 was founded in Dublin in 1996, acquired by Partners Group in July 2022 at a valuation implying revenues of over €240 million, and has since grown to approximately 3,700 people globally, with revenues doubled since acquisition. Both FRP and Version 1 were acquired in 2022.
The structural driver is a PE portfolio synergy model that most private equity firms describe but rarely execute in a measurable, disclosed form. Partners Group acquired an AI-capable technology services firm and an insurance brokerage with a clean, proprietary policy-level dataset in the same calendar year, then directed Version 1's AI Labs to deploy that dataset.
The output was two agentic AI solutions: one reducing new client policy processing cycles by 94%, doubling close rates, and one automating the manual policy checking task. The programme was delivered by a seven-person team in 14 weeks from concept to production, and the $10 million EBITDA impact is a verified, attributable figure rather than a projected benefit.
The 14-week deployment timeline is the operationally significant number. Most enterprise AI programmes at scale take 12 to 18 months from scoping to production; Version 1's AI Labs methodology compressed that by roughly 80%, which is the commercial proposition Partners Group is now demonstrating publicly across its portfolio.
For Ireland, the Version 1 case is a direct argument for Dublin's viability as an AI-first digital transformation hub. Version 1 opened its new Dublin headquarters and AI Studio at Four Park Place in March 2026, with 250 local jobs announced alongside it, precisely as this programme was delivering measurable returns in the US market.
