Former World Rally Championship co-driver Killian Duffy has launched a customisable white-label mobile application platform designed to provide professional-grade live streaming and independent digital infrastructure for sports clubs and content creators, representing a €200,000 self-funded investment developed in partnership with Ross Kernan of RKM Software.

The platform, reported by Irish Tech News, was built to address the operational constraints of mainstream social networks, specifically the restriction to a single simultaneous livestream and a policy that deletes video assets after 30 days.

Duffy, a secondary school teacher from Mayo who left education in 2009 to pursue a professional motorsport career, previously founded On The Pace Note, a digital rally coverage provider that grew to 82,000 Facebook followers and 3,500 paid subscribers across Ireland and the UK before the limitations of third-party platforms prompted development of an independent solution.

Duffy said: "When a platform deletes video content after 30 days, a creator or a club loses their historical archive and their hard-earned media equity. We built this platform to give data ownership back to creators and sporting bodies, allowing them to harness a sustainable platform of their own to scale their brands. By removing the requirement for fragmented third-party software and large production crews, the operational cost of broadcasting is reduced by up to 90%."

The platform enables individual sporting bodies and digital media creators to deploy bespoke branded applications on iOS and Android, with a simplified broadcasting workflow that allows a single operator to manage multi-camera or multi-stage streams. Native iOS applications are built in Swift and Android applications in Kotlin, with the technical backend hosted on AWS EC2 Linux instances running PHP 8.4 and the Laravel framework.

Broadcast delivery is managed via Amazon Interactive Video Service for ultra-low latency, with AWS MediaConvert handling multi-quality video transcoding and Amazon CloudFront routing global content delivery to prevent regional buffering. Historical content is archived indefinitely via Amazon S3 storage. A Stripe payment gateway with daily data exports enables clubs and creators to manage subscriptions, virtual ticketing, lotteries, membership renewals and merchandising with immediate cash flow.
