Kalmar Oyj, the global heavy material handling equipment provider with operations in Ireland, has selected Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as its strategic IT partner to deliver a full-scale AI-powered digital transformation according to an Irish Tech News report.

TCS will consolidate Kalmar’s IT environment into a single integrated delivery model covering application development and maintenance, end-user services, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The partnership aims to establish a modern, AI-first IT foundation that enhances operational efficiency, strengthens service reliability, and reduces global IT complexity.

TCS will implement an AI-driven operations framework and a unified command centre to provide real-time observability across Kalmar’s global sites. The project will also focus on enhancing employee experiences for Kalmar’s 5,200 staff, using AI to enable smarter human-machine collaboration.
