Dublin-based learning management company LearnUpon has launched its Agentic Learning Platform, repositioning the traditional learning management system from a passive administrative tool into an AI-powered platform that independently executes complex workflows while retaining human oversight over strategic decisions.

The launch, reported by Irish Tech News, is designed to address a structural inefficiency the company identifies in current learning technology, where professionals spend up to 80% of daily effort managing systems rather than developing people.

Brendan Noud, CEO of LearnUpon, said: "By taking a modular, 'human-leading-the-loop' approach, we are giving organisations the transparency and control that other platforms miss. The Agentic Learning Platform moves human input higher up the value chain, liberating L&D teams to do what they do best: building genuine human capability and driving strategic business growth."

At the centre of the platform is LearnUpon IQ, an integrated intelligence layer that governs and orchestrates agentic capabilities across three specialised hubs. The Profile Hub replaces static user data by tracking real-time skills and capability gaps based on live performance signals. The Content Hub centralises and automates asset management, using tools including Create+ and an Agentic Editor that allows teams to build learning materials through conversational AI. The Delivery Hub injects contextual learning directly into employees' workflows through LearnUpon's conversational assistant, Ask Lia, and a built-in Journey Agent that launches personalised development paths automatically.

LearnUpon IQ hosts an open-protocol MCP server that connects external AI tools including Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT directly to an organisation's learning data, enabling teams to pull live reporting insights into their preferred AI workspace without manual extraction.

Des Anderson, CTO and Co-Founder at LearnUpon, said: "By transitioning to a modular, agentic architecture built on a single intelligence layer and three specialised hubs, we are fulfilling the long-awaited promise of hyper-personalised learning at scale while permanently removing the administrative friction that has historically held L&D teams back."

Jennifer Hovestadt, Director of Learning and Development at Premium Retail Services, said: "LearnUpon's vision for an Agentic Learning Platform aligns with where we see the future of learning and workforce development."

The launch marks the first step in a long-term product roadmap, with LearnUpon positioning the platform as a response to accelerating AI-driven role change across the enterprise.
