The Life Sciences Industry Conference 2026 will bring together pharmaceutical manufacturing leaders, technical specialists and digital experts to examine how artificial intelligence can be implemented safely and responsibly across regulated production environments when the event takes place on Thursday, 22 October, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry, Dublin.
Organised under the theme The AI Ready Manufacturing Site, the conference will focus on the practical application of AI and digital transformation within life sciences manufacturing, with discussions centred on governance, validation, cybersecurity, data integrity and workforce readiness.
As enterprise AI continues to reshape manufacturing, organisations are increasingly evaluating how emerging technologies can improve productivity, strengthen compliance and enhance decision making without compromising regulatory standards.
The conference programme will explore the leadership, digital strategy and operational frameworks required to integrate AI into manufacturing environments while maintaining quality, safety and consistency across pharmaceutical operations.
Sessions will examine how manufacturers can build AI ready organisations by combining digital innovation with established good manufacturing practice, enabling businesses to adopt new technology while supporting long term business transformation.
Industry leaders from pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, biotechnology organisations and MedTech businesses are expected to attend alongside professionals working across operations, engineering, quality, compliance, supply chain, commercial functions and people and talent.
The event is being guided by an advisory committee that includes Matt Moran, chief executive of Matt Moran Consulting and former head of BioPharmaChem Ireland at Ibec, together with Dr Bernadette Whelan, lecturer in Pharmaceutical Science and Programme Leader in GMP and Technology at South East Technological University Waterford.
The organisers say the programme has been designed to address the practical challenges facing manufacturers as AI innovation moves from pilot projects to wider deployment across production facilities, where digital leadership and effective governance are becoming increasingly important.
Companies including Pfizer, Boston Scientific, MSD, AbbVie, Sanofi, Amgen, AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb, Novartis, Takeda, GSK, Eli Lilly, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are among those represented within the conference community, reflecting broad industry engagement with the future of business technology and digital operational excellence.
