One-third of Irish SMEs not using digital supports, despite strong interest in digital transformation

A Lean BPI survey reveals that 34% of small business owners in Ireland haven't accessed government digital supports, despite 75% expressing interest in learning more. Cost (46%), legacy systems, cybersecurity, and connectivity issues are major barriers. Still, 70% have a digital strategy, and 75% plan to invest further over the next year. Founder John O’Shanahan urged SMEs to engage with Local Enterprise Offices to close the awareness gap and accelerate transformation.
