Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global IT and consulting leader with a service delivery centre in Ireland, has partnered with semiconductor giant AMD to help enterprises scale artificial intelligence (AI) adoption from pilot projects to full deployment.
The collaboration targets modernising legacy IT environments, building secure, high-performance digital workplaces, and developing industry-specific AI and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions. Sectors identified for tailored solutions include life sciences, manufacturing, and BFSI (banking, financial services, and insurance).
K. Krithivasan, chief executive officer and managing director of TCS, said the collaboration with AMD enables enterprises to scale AI from pilots to full deployment, co-create industry-specific GenAI solutions, modernise hybrid cloud and edge environments, and advance AI-driven workplaces.
“The collaboration underscores our commitment to building future ready enterprises and advances our ambition to become the world’s largest AI-led technology services company.” Krithivasan said.
The partnership also includes rapid upskilling and certification for TCS associates on AMD hardware and software, ensuring a deep pool of talent capable of co-developing next-generation AI solutions. AMD will provide its high-performance computing and AI product portfolio to support enterprise workloads, cloud-to-edge deployments, and advanced analytics.
Dr. Lisa Su, chair and chief executive officer of AMD, added that accelerating AI adoption requires high-performance computing and industry collaboration, and the partnership helps customers turn AI innovation into growth opportunities across sectors.
The partnership aims to deliver accelerators, frameworks, and best practices to enhance AI training and inference performance, helping organisations fully capitalise on AI-driven opportunities while securing operations and improving digital agility.
