US-headquartered digital engineering and consulting firm Virtusa has deepened its digital transformation footprint in the UK and Ireland through the acquisition of Valentia Partners, a specialist consultancy focused on financial services, digital assets and regulatory strategy.

The acquisition enhances Virtusa’s ability to support banks, asset managers and FinTechs as they modernise operations while managing complex regulatory requirements shaped by AI, blockchain, tokenisation and decentralised finance. Valentia Partners is recognised for its advisory work in regulated financial environments, particularly in the emerging digital assets sector.

“This is a pivotal moment for our presence in the UK and Ireland, and the financial services sector globally,” said Atul Gupta, Head of UK & Ireland at Virtusa. “Valentia Partners brings unparalleled domain expertise and a strong track record of successful, mission-critical transformations.”

The acquisition adds specialist consulting talent across data strategy, governance, core systems implementation and complex transformation delivery.

Valentia’s leadership said the deal provides a larger platform to scale its digital transformation impact. “Joining Virtusa provides our team with a global platform to scale our expertise and reach,” said Eoghan Hannigan, Co-founder, Valentia Partners. “We have always been focused on leading the dialogue around the future of finance, especially where regulatory requirements meet digital innovation.”

“By becoming part of Virtusa, we can now bring our specialized knowledge and consulting services to a much broader client base, ensuring our thought leadership continues to actively shape the market's adoption of digital assets and transformative technologies,” added John McEvoy, Co-founder, Valentia Partners.

The combined teams will immediately focus on delivering digital transformation programmes for financial services clients across London, Dublin, Edinburgh and international markets.
